Engine has been a blessing aside from the occasional random cylinder misfire/multiple cylinder misfire condition after a heavy rain or humid day.... But that is under control now.
I only had 5 more payments until the Monte was paid off. It was in perfect condition inside and out, no rust, waxed, washed, etc. I was rear ended at a stop light coming off of the freeway by someone who forgot that there was a traffic light... Her speed was in excess of 50+ miles per hour. Needless to say, the car was toast. The back fender wells bent up into the rear wheels so badly that the wheels refused to turn. The most strange thing was that the trunk and trunk frame remained right where they were supposed to be, but the left and right fenders creased at the middle of the wheel well, and they had about a 2 1/2 inch dip compared to the trunk lid.
But the Monte Carlo will live on (hopefully for a long time) in this '00 GP SE that my parents happened to have sitting dead in their driveway. I was suprised to find that it had the same engine as my beloved MC. I picked it up for free, and the insurance company agreed to pay off the MC to the penny, even with me keeping it (I gave up 250$ extra to keep it). So I guess I cannot complain.
I'll let everyone know how it goes... I may even try to polish up my valve covers and Intake Manifold a bit before I take some pictures to post on here.
Thanks,
