That would be the pcm for the car or the computer.
oooo yea just found outt.....hehe well ey i was just wondering wat good mods there is for the gp? im thinkin bout a intake... nd den mayb make it have a mean roar in like a month im hoping....but wat online store is good that u recommend?
CAI You can just make that yourself out of PCV or plastic and put a cone filter on the end. Bigger TB you can bore it our our get one off a 3400 and then you could bore that one out to 60mm. Your stock TB is 52mm. Cat cut it off or get a high flow one. HP tuner can really help. Or if you want to pore some money into it you can always do a turbo Most of these are easy mods and want take but a few hours
You can not turbo these engines its so much more work to make it right and and its not worth it
damm i hear u.... ok now i need help ASAP!! my car wont start.. i thought it was mayb a dead battery but na the ignition switch nd every thing works...[lights, stereo ect.] i tried turning it on couple times but still no roar of the engine i mean it hears like its about 2 start up but no go : (
one more things the rev meter or watever its called keeps jumping up nd down... o also found out that this car was reconstructed.... so yea??? any help?
like I said if you want to pore money into it you could
The battery still could be dead. The lights and stuff will still work it just don't have enough power to crank up the engine. I have had this happen to me 2 twice because I was listing to music in the parking lot and then got ready to go and it wouldn't start.
Let me break it down for you two. Back in 89 90 91 there was a turbo 3.1 from gm it came in the tgp and tste. And the trubo engine's turbo kit will bolt to the gen 2 3.1 vin t like what I have in my 92 you all have a 3100 vin m and vin j there the same blocks same cubic inch but the fueling sytems are different. the earlier 3.1s like mine which is the vin t engine and the Lg5 which is the vin v engine they have the same fuel system setup. So if you have a gen 2 3.1 vin t its worth looking into the turbo kit for. Because the parts are damm near bolt up to the na engine.
If I had the money I would turbo it but since I don't and I don't think you do then I guess not. Its costly but worth it with supporting mods. Please it could be a sweet sleeper.
anything is possible if you have some skill at fabricating, if all you want is bolt on it won't happen
Toasty's right but if your wanting to save some coin then the tgp etup would be th way to go and to archamedis sp? I've reasearched the LHO and the LG5 engines there the same engine but the LG5 is beefed up.. So I know for sure that the turbo kit is direct bolt on for the na 3.1
..bad news i think the starter is messed up or something.. i got a friend 2 help me out by hookin up the batterys nd all but still it didnt wanna work... so i went to autozone nd bought some starting fluid hopefully that works...any suggestions?
well the lights at first were dim.. but solved that problem.. now just that when u try turning it on it goes.. but not all the way...u can hear that the syarter struggles nd den u can hear the intake suckin in air but like in bunches... still wont start.. since last tried
I was wondering. Is there any bolt on supercharger for the 2000 SE. I haven't done any mods yet but i wanted to start with some quick power. I've been lookong around but i haven't been able to find any.
Also, What would you recomend, supercharger or turbo?
No and both would be a lot of work for the 3.1's and cost some big dough. Best bet save your money and get a GTP if you want supercharged.
