Is there a difference in the actual transmissions between a car with the paddle shift and those without? My Comp G needs a new engine and I found one nearby that includes a transmission, but I'm not sure if it was a Comp G or not, and if the transmission will work with the paddles if it didn't come out of a comp g.

There is a difference in the valve bodies. If you have a Comp G you need a Comp G transmission.

The GXP trans has the same trans as the comp G with different gears.

GXP has a completely different tranny case aswell, so you could never use it anyway.

No, but you can flop most of the parts into your own trans case. Then use your channel plate and VB along iwth your wiring and it would work. Cause, I'm Bill and I've done it.

Hahahaha.. local says he can't get a trans gasket anywhere. I make one call. It'll be at the store 1/2 mile from the house (and car) by 2:30-3pm
