Does anyone have a diagram of the 97-03 Transmission. I want to rebuild it but I want to look at all the parts and see what I may need. Thanks!

Here's what I have. The transmission is quite complex and no one diagram is going to be able to cover everything:
umm, I'm going to make the sugestion to go buy a manual. it is worth the 10-20 dollars your going to pay for it. and it has a couple of measurements your going to need when rebuilding.
I agree, buying a manual will give you detailed info on all of the parts inside with individual pictures along with dissassembly and assembly proceedures. The pic above is a nice blown up overview of the trans to give you an idea of what is inside it but since it is a cutaway view just doenst give you the detail you will want to see.
I can tell you that I took Trannymans advise and I am SOOOO glad I did. I got three of them now. I have the ATSG 4T65E Revised Edition Techtran Manual, the ATSG 4T65E Updated Handbook Techtran Manual and the Hydramatic 4T65E Technicians Guide, Second Edition.
They are worth EVERY penny and then some.
You can find the ASTG manuals on ebay, but the Technicians Guide I bought elsewhere and Im not sure where that was. All I can offer is that you google it and see if that comes up with something.
I tried searching for it myself and have not yet come up with something. I know it would be some work and digging, but I could have SWORE I got the link to that particular book from here in a post that I made about my transmission. Now digging up that particular post from 6500 posts, well that might be a chore but it may be in here somewhere.
If I come up with anything I will definitely post up for ya. Maybe Trannyman would know where to get it as well, Im not sure.
By golly if I didnt find the thing, it says it not available so you may have to call them, but thats the book I got.

Now, with that said, do you 'need' this particular book? If you are looking for diagrams, then get it, but understand it is more technical than anything but just PACKED with detailed diagrams. If you are just rebuilding, then get the first two books I mentioned or just send your tranny to Trannyman and have him do the work and not have to worry about it.
I wish they made ATSG like manuals for the engine, Id be in heaven.
I can do some checking also if you dont come up with anything. I havent purchased any OE Hydramatic books in a long time but the trans tech at one of the local dealers I go to said a while back he could order them so I will hit him up this week and see what I can do
awesome aweomse
btw I'm changing my trans fluid this week, any suggestion Trannyman? I'll pm you
synthetic can you tell me the year of copyright on the book you got... i have the same one and i thought you said second edition before and i was just wondering if it was ever changed thanks
It is the second edition but its at home, so I wont be able to tell the copyright year on it until I get back. PM me sometime this afternoon so I dont forget and I'll relay that info on to you.
Thats impressive Trannyman. Nearly everday you further deepen my respect for you. No only do you build the nations best 4T65E's, but you go out of your way to help others that want to tackle the job themselves.
Im tellin' ya, you need to make that video and put it up for sale, you'd be rollin' in some dough in no time with your reputation.
