Just my luck.. hopped on the main drag, boosted to catch a friend at the light then the awesome smoke show..blew the input shaft,tranny pump seal.. common issue?? I've never seen one of these do it before..seen (and fixed) a lot of fords that did this.. I'm lead to believe that the tranny was rebuilt once, 182k on mine and it shifts perfect plus when I tossed it on the lift and pulled the inspection cover the torque converter was beautifully clean except the fresh fluid. . I didn't catch anyone else on here with the same problem.. just wanted to see if there were upgradable seal kits or seal hold down kits that anyone knew of..I don't want to do it again!. No I have an excuse to pull my engine and fix all the little things but I want to make sure the seal stays put..I know how to stake it in but I figured I'd ask about other options as well
