Randomly my car will not shift gears and I will have to let of gas before it will shift. I really do not want to get a new transmission or buy a new one. Car has 87,000 miles on it. All fluids are looking good. I was planning on adding boost but I don't want to totally blow the tranny. Please help!

Yes it has been serviced. And no it isn't really fast enough for me to want to beat on it. I am not sure how the car was treated before I got it though. The car has 87,000 miles on it. I was thinking i=on getting the solenoids and a ZZP shift kit to see if it would correct the problem?

I would make sure the plugs, wires and coils along with a TB cleaning are all in order. If it shifts..then the soleniods aren't yoru issue. The shift kit would be a nice addition (trans go for sure, if you wanna ZZP one..go to home depot and buy spacers to save on shipping).

The trans go shift kit is around $45-50. Should be fine in that it doesn't matter if you've got 100 hp or 1000, the shift kit will still do its job the same way.
