There's definitely slipping going on, at first anyway. At 2:11 you took it up to 3,000 RPM from a dead stop, right? That's really impossible until you start moving. Anybody can try this, from a dead stop, give it half throttle, or more but don't allow the wheels to slip. See how high you can get the RPM's to go before you start moving. I can't get any higher than 2,500 to start.
Notice it stops right at 2,500, and climbs as I gain speed. That is normal operation. I also have a brake light on just like him, so it's the same exact conditions
In daily driving it the way it is within the last week... I have had it once rev to about 4k for like 3 seconds before it would start moving but then after it drops back down to around 2500 it catches up to itself. As a note... this doesnt happen at all when starting with the gear shifter in 1 instead of d.
Take a read through the swap tranmission thread in the How to section (Search my username and the word "Ea sy" without the space.
There aren't any special tools needed that you probably can't borrow.
Jackstands

18mm
34-36mm (free loaner tools for doing axles)
3-4foot piece of 4x4

That's about all you need to swap a transmission. If you read through the procedure a few times.. you'll swap it faster than most shops.
