mine does the same thing... it's kind of rough... I have 128k
thanks for the reply, is this normal for these cars ?
Mine is doing the same, just started shifting a little harder when I give it gas at about 60 but when I put it in reverse and when it downshifts it feels a little harder than it should but I have only had min since august as well so I don't know if its normal either. Could someone with some experience help us newbies please
Harsh downshifts are not normal operation and is likely result of an accumulator problem or the pcm commanding max line pressure. Have the car scanned and see if code P1811 is in the history which is set for "Max adapt shift" and will cause max line pressure and harsh shifts. You wont notice the upshifts as much as the downshifts because you have no load on the engine coasting to a stop. For more information on this code click on the Info link in my sig
My had a hard up shift and down shift. i would keep an eye on it because my tranny just took a dump. i crack my 3rd gear from one side to the other.

what do i scan it with ?
Most auto parts stores have simple code readers which will at least tell you, or should tell you if there are any codes in the pcms history. Taking the car to a trans or reputable repair shop with an actual diagnostic scan tool would be of your best interest to have it checked out and given a thorough road test.
white gtp...where about in canadia are you? if your in south/central Ontario i can recommend a really good trans shop just north of the city of Barrie.
im in newfoundland , i can borrow a code reader but i think it only reads codes if the check engine light is on
