Was under my car today for some exhaust work and I noticed an odd stamp on my trans pan... It says "4T60E" "Product of GMC"
The car is a 1998 GTP. Is this a 4T65E with a 4T60E trans pan, or are the 65's stamped with 60?

There should be more identifying numbers on the trans that can help you figure it out.
When I first saw the title I thought it said "Weird tramp stamp"
Yeah, there should be a data plate or metal tag with some sort of info pertaining to your trans.
well dont know exactly how to tell build date, but the radiator hoses had a date printed on them. 11-12-97. Leads me to believe late in the year. I'll check that when the weather clears up
4T60's and 4T65's used the same pan/filter, so I would forget it.
The 1997 and early 1998 model years used a 4T60E pan that had 8mm bolts. This changed to 6mm bolts in early 1998 and the pan was blank with no stampings. Some of the 4T60E pans were left blank also that still retained the 8mm bolts. Same gasket and pan between the two models, just varies depending on bolt size/year.
