Need some advice from the 4t65e trans wonder Gods.... As the topic suggests I'm getting a p0742 TCC stuck on code, when viewing the trans data stream the tcc release pressure parameter will show released from a stop then switch to applied once the tcc is commanded lockup in 3rd and 4th gear, now when the tcc is commanded to unlock for climbing a grade or when lifting out of the fuel the converter will unlock as you can feel it and verify its unlocked by looking at the difference in engine speed and trans input speed, but the tcc release pressure switch will still show as applied indefinitely until you slow down far enough to be back in first gear then the switch will show released. trans was recently overhauled due to a failed 4th gear clutch pack that loaded the trans full of debris. valve body was fully disassembled and cleaned during overhaul and all valves move freely in the bores. Also what effects can occur from the thermostatic element in the pan not functioning correctly as I believe mine is not sealing off when warm as the fluid level is not higher when cold as the manual describes it should be.
