I have a slight leak out of the right axle seal after replacing my CV.
My question: is the seal for the passenger side accessible from the ourside of the transmission like it is for the left side? Pulling the CV is easy, and I'm hoping that putting in a new seal is similar to the left side as that's also easy.
Any help is appreciated.

Correct.
Remove axle and pop the end seal out, it can be a ***** to get out, but its very possible.
Then be carful tapping the new one in.

I think with a chisel and pliers that I can get the old seal out. I was more concerned that it would be inside the casting on the output snout.

Yeah, I broke the end seal pulling a CV out of my sisters bonneville and thought I was for sure ****ed, then I just looked up the part at work, was happy, ordered it and got it out and installed it.

So, there is an inner and outer seal? I've been looking online and it looks like there are two....

Its almost coned, if you know what I am trying to say. Its not flat.

it's easy to do w/o taking the diff cover off. When you install the new one, put a light amount of RTV on the outter edge of where it sits in the casing. that way if you scored the housing at all while digging it out, it will seal up.

The thing that's confused me is that this link:

shows that two of these seals are needed for the right side. I'm just going to assume that's a misprint.

I don't see that part...but you only need one. FWIW if you have a 2.50" pulley..it's perfect for driving that seal in.

Seal is in place.
What works PERFECTLY for a driver is a mag light with the lens removed. The ID of the lens casing is exactly the flange diameter.
As soon as I popped the CV I could see the source of the leak - I had popped off the sealing spring off the old seal when I installed the CV. Without a spring, the seal won't work (obviously).
