Once I get a set of metric wrenches, I can get to work on it. When I wiggled the line, fluid came out and the plastic covering was covered in fluid. I have not removed the retaining clip yet. I will do that today. I need to jack up the car and pour fluid in and then pinpoint the leak. Won't be able to do that until Thursday, though.

You may want to pull the line and confirm it's the fitting. These don't leak all that often.
I did pull the unit, and the line is not cracked. I think the clip holding the line in place is no good, and that is why there was so much wiggle room. Plus, the unit was corroded, so I will just go ahead and replace it. I gave it a thought to sand down the inner and outer surface rust, but it's just better to replace the part with a new one.

Ok, I did replace the cooler line fitting with a new one with the ballcock. It's been some months, but now the weather is warm and I am getting around to working on this car again. When I start it up, fluid is still shooting out of the line. Do I need the cooler line fitting without the ball inside? I'm guessing the ball is blocking the flow of trans fluid and it shoots out. I could be wrong.
