I used Amsoil in my transmission w/ a lil' over 100k on it. My tranny took a dump not long after the oil change. <_<

The pan drop or flush really comes down to logic.

If the services have been done all along then the clutches are conditioned to fresh fluid and detergents etc. If it wasn't, then what happens is fresh detergents clean stuff that likely has build up, filters can plug, lack of friction material in the fluid may make things slide too easy and not grab etc etc. Plus adaptive shifting and pressure needs to be considered.

There are a lot of possibilites out there as to why something slips after a flush. Look at the OP, looking to change from a standard fluid to a super slick, high detergent, mega fluid. That's like taking a person who drinks their coffee with tons of cream and sugar each morning to a super bold double caffinated black coffee in the matter of one day. I think that person is going to react differently to the high test coffee, just like the transmission and clutches are going to have a reaction.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

jsut do a drain and fill with filter for now,

i bought my car with 147k trans fluid was decent looking. not to bad of a smell. i pulled the history of the last owner who purchased from the company i work for. and they serviced it at 50k, so i flushed my trans at 149k and then did a drain and fill with a shift kit @ 155k, so far the trans is still doing good but it will need replaced in the next year.

starting to get a slight jerk/shutter when starting off when car is HOT!! and i have to drive with performance shift on or it will slip and hesitate between gears.

Going with a TEP transmission, gonna remove mine and drive up and pick up my new one after i order it. and i will do a flush ever 25k just cause the fluid only cost me $16 for dex and $60 for dex 6
