My check engine light was on and I knew the GTP has a bad shift solenoid so I scanned it. It threw codes p0742 = tcc stuck on and code p0756 = 2-3 shift solenoid.
Looks like its time to get a triple edge tranny since its really not worth fixing a 90k mile unit, for another 5-700 over repair cost I could get a much better unit than any place around here could put together.

I like your attitude! But before you get ready to buy a trans..... You have two codes that could be linked together as an electrical problem more than an internal trans problem. You need to make sure the wiring from the pcm to the trans is ok and you dont have any bad or rubbed through wires in the wire harness or even a bad connector on the top of the trans. After you have checked this out and everything electrically is good then you should look into a trans. P0742 is often from valve body problems and a torque converter lockup clutch that is coming apart and causes excessive debris to get caught in the valve body and TCC solenoid.
