So I went and replaced the seals on the reverse servo today and had a lot of difficulty putting the metal ring back on the cover of the reverse servo(I guess it acts as a spring to hold the cover on). Well anyway, I button everything up, go to throw it in reverse and hear a clunk. I immediately knew that the reverse servo had blow out of the trans. So, is there a special way to get ring on so that it holds the reverse servo on like it did from the factory? I would like to get the car back up and running tomorrow.
