Ok so I'm having some issues with my recently built tranny. My car is a 1998 GTP. I had the tranny rebuilt this witer/spring and I have only put about 4k on the tranny since the rebuild. The 1st problem started a few weeks ago on the E-way. I was going 55ish and went WOT held it down but it didn't shift into 4th and I'm lucking I didn't chip a piston or something again. It didn't shift untill I let off the gas. My shift points are around 6500 to 6700 rpm's. This problem contunied for the next couple weeks but it was only when I went WOT and it downshifted from 4th to 2nd. Last week the tranny started acting up in 2nd gear, it shifts late (around 42 mph, 3+k) It also sometimes jumps around shifting up and down when I'm geting on the gas. I may possibly have a grinding sound coming from the tranny but I'm not sure. I only hear it when the car isn't moving so it may just be vibrations from all my poly mounts.
The tranny was rebuilt with the following: Master rebuilt kit with Zpack 3rd clutch set,7/8th single chain w/ 3:29, hardened 4th clutch shaft, transgo shift kit,Thrust washer, OE stator support bearing, input sun gear to drum bearing, forward apply band, input sun gear, Sonnax apply valve kit, shift solenoid, tcc solenoid, PCS solenoid, 4340 input, aluminum pan, stage 2 axles and a ZZP 2750 torque converter.
I thought the problem was the converter so I pulled the motor and replaced the converter with a new ZZP 2750 and the problem is still here. I hopefully am geting the car scanned tomarrow from the guy who built the tranny for me. I have no ses light and no codes have shown up on my areoforce scan gauge. I'm hoping Trannyman95 reads this post since I bought most of my parts from him
