Hey guys, sorry I have not been on in forever. Reality caught up with me when I got a job, and did not really have as much time for the forums anymore...

But, I do have a car now, I ended up getting a 97 Lesabre, yes it is an old person car *please release all laughter now* but a nice cruiser, and good for fitting in friends, haha.

Anyways, I have noticed it shifts harder than our 96 Regal, which has the earlier transmission. It is not like a hard violent shift, but pretty firm, and firmer once it warms up.

I was thinking it might be the all too common P1811 code, but have not had the codes read yet (anyone know where I can get them to check it out cheap?). But from peoples description, I don't think my car shifts that hard.

    Thanks for any help guys!

If you have a AAMCO transmission shop near you, you could go by there and they should scan your car for free, or you can drop by a transmission shop and they should scan your car for a few dollars or for free.

Yeah, I think I am just going to try to find a transmission shop. But I am not as worried about it now, I realized if I am on the throttle a little more, the shifts seem ok, still not as smooth as I would like though.

I am thinking maybe the engine mounts need replaced, might help a little.

BTW, car has 158,XXX, so it is getting up there, lol.
