Hey guys, got a question im a bit unsure of.recently picked up an 2000 bonneville for parts. i needed the motor for my 98 gp, but the bonneville ran good and shifted good.i was just going to sell the transmission but now im considering keeping it as a backup for one of my 2 grand prixs. if not ill sell it or pick up another vehicle to use it in.i know the trans is a 4t65e but thats about it. And its supposed to be the m15, not all to sure what all that entails though?what other applications does the bonneville fit in? ive read a few things i found online but nothing is to clear cut and its from untrusty webpages like wikipedia and such.has anybody on here ever tried using a bonneville trans or know what other vehicles it fits? any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks

that seems mostly what im reading.do you know if the different gearing will mess anything up though? as long as it operates properly and doesnt cause any issues with the computer

It should work but you can't swap a gp trans into the bonnie

Speed is an addiction the faster you go the slower it becomes.

Won't fit? ? It's the exact same trans, same mounting bracket as well

Only difference, as already stated is gearing. But that only applies to the L36 powered Bonnes vs the L36 GP's. As all L67 powered cars have 2.92 gears
    98 Grand Prix GTP L32, GenV, n*, 3.2", 1.9 rr's, 3.29 gears. All that jazz SOLD

Thank you for further clarifying my point. You will see I already specified that. Only gear ratios affected would be with L36 powered vehicles

Now you guys see why i was confused.lol A lot of people saying the complete opposite things. Just to clarify L67 is the non s/c 3800's right? I didnt mean to cause a big ruckus but there must be somebody out there who has done this and knows firsthand whether it works or not.

The case could also be different, but that's irrelevant for going INTO the GP.

The only real issues will be gearing and the cooler line fittings. GM switched from threaded to quick connect fitting during the 99 model year, but that has nothing do with bonne vs. GP.
