2nd will typically hang until around 41-45 mph, i can hear the trans sort of "pulsating" for lack of a better term. kind of like it wants to shift, but it cant, i release the gas pedal, Whammo, drops to 3rd gear, and then shifts to 4th.
so im not missing any gears, but its just not shifting from 2nd to 3rd, Once in gear, it grips fine in 3rd, 4th, any gear i am in is fine.
after doing a lot of research around, i believe it could be the TCC rod leaking fluid by, hence the pulsating sound, and faulure to shift, until i let go of the gas pedal (drop trans pressure) and then it can shift.
My better question, seeings it would be a pain in the butt either way, would it be better to just replace the whole transmission, or just put a new valve body on it? Either way you practically have to drop the engine (as far as i know)
Just looking for some insight.
