Thread: how to remove a 97 gp transmission?

1997 gp non supercharge prb..my tranny went on me go a used one from a scrap yard..just need help on what is needed to remove the old one.

well 2 jacks,3 foot of extentions for the so called ***** bolt and some jackstands to hold the car up.1 jack under the motor and tranny and the other under the subframe to lower it or an engine hoist or cherry picker whichever from up top to hold the engine in place while droppin the tranny.dont forget to loosen the 7/16 in bolt on the steering rack to lower the subframe to the floor or damage could occur.i used the 2 jacks and 2 jack stands and done it in 13 hrs myself in my garage on my 98 gtp pace car.or just go to triple edge performance.com trannyman95 can give ya some more info gl dude.
