Why would there be 7 leds if a bulb illuminates that area?

That slotted indicators under the PRND321 is lit up by those LED's on that circuit board. The indicators under the letters only come on when the car is on and running. The actual lettering appears brighter after I swapped in the LEDs is due to bleed through from the larger bulb that sits over that area.

So either all the LED's burnt out, there is a burnt out component on the board, there is a cold solder joint somewhere or the connector was loose and needs to be reseated. Based on the photo is appears the no components are burned out.

If you are looking for the easiest solution with less headache, a junkyard piece would be the way to go. If you wish to tackle this project on your ouwn, you could try swapping out those 7 LED's for new ones.

Went over the board with volt meter and the board is not getting any electricity
so there is a wire that must be broken somewhere
