well you can tally one more on the list. I just bought a 92' gtp with the 5 speed 284 getrag. unfortunately, there is most likely something wrong with the transaxle. it makes an awful noise as soon as i engage the clutch.

A 282 is kinda tempting for my 2nd gen, but they are 20 yrs old. Unless you rebuild it, you never know if its gonna grenade on you in the first 50ft you drive it. IMO

Im pretty sure there was a Getrag tranny in my SVT focus's I had, those trans are some strong ****! Damn Germans know how to build em!!!
