I went to chevy dealer today to try to figure if i can get it reset se way and he said there has to be sensors im almost 100 percent these dont have replacement tpms sensors. Dic seems to work other than the fact tpms wont go away

I mean it shows mileage and other things but its locked can click or go through info and they said if i buy another dic the tpms will still appear?

if the gp is anything like a regal. you dont have tire pressure sensors in the wheels. i know i dont heave em, and my low tire light comes on when a tire is low regardless what set of wheels i have on the car.
i had the stock regal wheel, tires off nothing inside, got caddy sts wheels nothing inside them either, and my winter wheels have nothing inside. yet tps still works on my car. not sure how it works but it does.

Lol its so complicated because it used to work perfectly fine so maybe it is the dic since it doesn't let you reset or even see any information. Ill try to buy one and see what happends

you have a reset button in your fuse box? thats how you turn it off in a regal. maybe you need to push a few buttons on the dic to reset it?
you have your owners manual? if not google it. id post a link to one but all my faves are in limbo right now.

I coulda swore I posted a response about this already. Pre 2006 does not have TPMS sensors. It calculates tire pressures based on rotational speeds. Your car may have been programmed for a different tire ratio so no matter what tires or pressure you run it will be "wrong" to the computer.

Isnt is supposed to programmed to 225/55/17 its just weird that it stopped from one day to another i dont remember changing tires or anything. Maybe switching it out might help just to try because i have no other option

Right, it just goes off of the ABS sensors, if 1 wheel is spinning slower because it has less air the tire light comes on. There are no sensors in 04 or 05 cars and anything in regals, century, bonnevilles, lesabres and park aves that use the LOW tire light.
The size of the tires or rims won't matter either, once the system is reset with the button (if it had one) they just work with whatever is on the vehicle then.

Don't know if it will help at all but when i swapped my 3 button for 5 button DIC (with that custom Y adapter I made to keep both plugged in for mileage) I didn't have any issues with the tpms even though the 5 button was from a newer car that did have the sensors. My car also didn't have ABS so... not sure what that tells you. Maybe because I also still had my original DIC computer connected?

This really sounds like a wiring issue or circuit issue to me. The wheel speed sensors probably aren't the culprit, nor the wiring to them, or you'd be getting messages for ABS and TCS systems as well.
The GP's don't have a reset button in the side fuse box like the Regal's, I looked to make sure, but the only way to reset the tire pressure system is through the DIC.
If I were you, I'd first just try unhooking the battery for a while. It may just be a glitch if you're lucky. If that doesn't work, Morad Parts has 5 button DIC's every once in a while, I'd just check him or eBay itself for one at a good price. If the battery doesn't fix it, there's either a short in the wiring or the DIC itself has a hard fault in the circuit board. If you're in the mood, you can open it up and look for anything burnt, or see if it smells burnt. Burnt circuits have a special smell to them...

has this been fixed yet? I was gonna say maybe the Info button is shot or try unplugging the DIC completely, plug it back in and try again. Could be a ****ty connection

Yes i have disconnected it and plugged it back in so ima try swapping one but i dont want to change my cars miles im not sure if it will or not

As mentioned, you could have a short or open circuit but check on the PCM end of the wire also. The end of the DIC may look fine when you take it out to check it but you have to trace those wires and inspect along them or else you'll be wasting money never knowing what the issue is. it clearly gets power and works, so that means something may be cross touching or just loose. DIC burning out could always be a possibility but find the culprit first.

I guarantee it's a wheel speed sensor. Price them out. If that price is worth turning the low tire off for good. Spend the money. If not, press enter and ignore it.

I had a similar issue with mine, when i shipped it from overseas the salt water somehow managed to get into the interior of the car and corroded the actual circuit board for the buttons. I'm going to pull it out and see if i can repair it, because none of the junkyards here in Fairbanks seem to have any 04+ GP's...
