That's what I was wondering.. It's pretty isolated from anything

Extremely pleased with my results. Temps used to show 20-50+ difference from ambient air.
Now I'm showing from 5-10 max difference with the Fwi installed.
Whether or not it does anything for performance I'm just glad to see the numbers drop

let me ask yall i just put a hai in my car as well but do i need to cut the fender well or splash guard at all to get more cold air in my engine bay or does it get enough already?
Don't cut the splash guard...your asking for trouble if you do. Exposing the filter to debris and water = a big no no unless of course you don't mind hydrolocking your motor.
Here's mine I just put on today. I used a 3.25" straight coupler for the MAF to TBody, a 3.5"-4" bending reduced for the filter to MAF and a 2" long piece of 4" steel pipe for the filter to reducer. For the PCV I just drilled a hole in my silicone MAF-TBody coupler and I used the stock barb fitting. PCM got some rubber toolbox drawer liner under it and some zip-ties to hold it down. The filter is huge 7" around and 9" long. Part# RD1460 from K&N. The silicone reducers and T-clamps I got from siliconeintakes.com they are an awesome company fast shipping, good prices and great product! It sounds great and feels a little quicker. I'm pretty happy with it!
