Same thing happened to mine 3 years ago, plastic piece under wiper cowling came unglued and allowed rain water to leak in, need to apply adhesive and repositioned. No problems since.
Take a look at this. I think this fits the 04+ as well.

Theres a TSB for the 04 and wet passenger side. My mom has an 04 and I sent her to a guy who fixed it for $20.
Thank you billboost iv herd alot about you and your knolage. And i was wondering how you like your overkill pcm salis.
i was asking the other guy. As much as iv herd about you bill i can only assume you tune your own.
I like it a lot... told him what I wanted/needed and haven't had any problems. Definitely woke the car up and gives a slight advantage over stock tune supercharged GP's.
Im going to have them do mine but im going to install zzp 2.5 catted down pipe first. I would also like to put on a plog but they have been out of stock. My ead is going to do the pcm tune on his 07 impala to through overkill. Im preaty excited about it.
You'd get out cheaper and with less headaches if you did the SD/SSAC headers and sold your DP.
thanks for this write up... i hope this fixes the car
I'll just go ahead and recommend that you never turn the car off with the vents on the "floor" position - set it to blow on the face.
I kinda had this happen to me, except that the water never made it to the floor. What happened a couple winters ago was that ice built up under the passenger cowl and allowed more water to come in. It leaked down into the blower motor and settled on the plastic trim piece that hangs underneath. It then froze and pushed the armature upwards, eventually leading to the blower motor burning out completely. The week following was the coldest of my life...
