I posted this on another thread but it was kinda old. so i'll try a new thread. I can't believe that i cant dind anything about this online! I thought that this was a common problem.

I just picked up my new to me GP and it is in good shape except most of the buttons in the car have lost their coatings and light is shining threw at night. plus you cant tell what some of them do. So my question is how do i change the buttons on the DIC? I am installing a new radio and climate control to take care of that stuff but i can't find any buttons to replace the ones on the DIC. I dont want the expense of a whole new one plus having to reset the milage on it either. i just need new buttons and instructions on how to replace them. Thanks ahead of time for any help!

by the way its a 2004 GP GT2 package with the 5 button system.

Well if not a replacement how about a repair. Something looks better than the hole that's there now!

well i guess im the only one sith this problem so i went to my local junk yard and found a DIC unit in one of the cars there. i took it apart and found out how to get the buttons out but of course the only one i found all day was damaged just like mine. Soooo i guess i'll try and find something i can do with the bad button that i have to make it look cool. hopefully someone can tell me where i can find replacement buttons.....

Junk yard is the only place I can think of, other than the "for sale" section on message boards. They appear for sale once and a while on here. Also try "MORAD" they have all kinds of "W" body parts.

i contacted MORAD last week and all they sell are just the entire DIC not just the buttons. It just suprises me that there is nothing to buy to put on or relace with these buttons with. i got a couple buttons from the junk car and im going to try to do something sith it to make it look nice . i'll try to post some pics later to show how it came out.
