Not sure how thin mine is, I just got the standard stuff from Menards. Also, thinner = more flexible, especially if you heat it up. You don't need to bend it that much so it shouldn't be an issue in any case.

Told you they were a ***** lol. Gotta keep making progress little by little for about 5 minutes, then let them bake for another 10-15. Repeat until open. Took me at least an hour.

If you are still using the original headlights that came on your car, then they are sealed with permaseal and they are a b**ch to get open. If you are using aftermarket "OEM" replicas, they can be opened with a hair dryer in about 10 minutes since they use butyl tape.

    Yeah that **** wasn't budging.

Ghey. All I did was bake my headlights. Fail status.

I had to use a screwdriver to pry mine open. And I still haven't gotten around to rebaking and reopening them to remove the permaseal **** so I'm just gonna get an aftermarket set once I get my projectors cause it'll be way easier.

Fixed. It wasn't just Pontiac who used permaseal. Hell, it wasn't just GM. Ford does it too.

I sort of remember my originals being hard to crack, Aftermarkets are so much easier.

Anybody know how I could change them to a purple reflector of some sort? I currently just took out the light so it doesn't light up, but I've always wondered about changing the reflector to purple like the rest of my "theme"

Not sure any colors other than clear or orange would pass inspection. Depends on your local laws I guess. If they would pass, then I would maybe try using the clear and painting it with some translucent purple paint, kinda like using VHT Niteshades to tint tailights.

Well where I live we don't get inspected regularly. We are the lucky ones lol and cops around here don't look out for stuff like reflectors, I've removed or covered them completely on other cars. Just front window tint and coloured lights they like to make their quota with -.-

Maybe I'll venture the web a bit and see what I can find. Would painting the backside of a clear one make what I'm after?

Don't see why not as long as the paint isn't too dark or applied in too heavy of a coating.
