Here in California right now rebuilding my 4T65E-HD on my 04 Pontiac Grand Prix...
Looking for a solid external transmission cooler. Any suggestions?
I was also told I can pull a trans cooler from a 2000-Up Park Ave or Ultra. Any thoughts on this as well?

Depends on how much fab work you want to do. I fit a 10" x 11-1/4" cooler in mine.
How to: '00-'03 Grand Prix standalone transmission fluid cooler
Your install would be easier since your checkball is in the channel plate, not the cooler fitting. You could plumb the lines directly into the trans case. Also, Google "Tru Cool M7B" It's the same thing shown in that thread, but at about half the price.
