Has anyone experienced a blower fan continuously running even when the AC and car is off?

After ten years of owning the vehicle, I finally had to replace the blower motor/fan and resister. 8 months later it needed a new resister, and now 7 months after that the mechanics are suggesting I replace it again (for 270 bucks) due to a bad quality parts. Twice? I insisted they investigate further and they found nothing, but something is causing the resister to blow out twice in 15 months.

    Any insight?

What kind of place are you taking it that doesn't have a warranty on these parts??

My old job offered a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty on almost everything and a longer warranty if the part itself came with a better warranty. It's bull**** if you have to repay for a repair that only lasted 7 months, that's just a shop wanting your money.

Maybe they are using cheap parts to begin with and not a quality OEM part from the dealership. I couldn't tell you exactly why the same thing keeps happening as I don't have it in front of me to diag it further but if I was you either fight this repair with the shop or buy a new resistor and just replace it yourself.

If you don't have the cowl deflector installed yet, your blower and resistor get wet anytime the conditions are there.
That is mostly likely your constant replacement problem
